Dr. Jessica O'Bleness
Hello! I am Dr. Jessica O'Bleness. I am a Licensed Psychologist and I earned my PhD in School Psychology at the University of Iowa. I have worked with children and adolescents in public schools, out-patient clinics, and residential treatment centers. Throughout my time in graduate school and during my career, I have received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of childhood and adolescent difficulties including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disability, depression, anxiety, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Additionally, my research has focused on parent-child relationships, temperament, and early childhood development. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Counseling and Diagnostic Center in Addison, Texas, where I received additional training in assessment with foster care youth, mental health disorders, and adult evaluations for vocational rehabilitation. I worked as a LSSP in the public schools for three years completing special education evaluations, conducting counseling sessions with students, and providing consultation with teachers. Additionally, I teach courses at the University of Texas at Austin including Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in Childhood and Adolescence, Individual Testing, Academic Assessment and Intervention, and Practicum and Internship supervision. I am also a consultant with the mental health team at Child Inc in the Austin area where I supervise a group of graduate students.
